Model TB-BD-505 · HS 4421.99.9780 · Made in Jiangsu, China

A 1200 × 600 × 300 mm 20 mm spruce raised bed with liner and brackets, flat-packed in one parcel-size carton. MOQ 200 pcs, 16/20/28 mm walls, geotextile or PEVA liner, ISTA 3A drop-tested, 15-minute assembly.

Why buyers pick this line

  • Parcel geometry: carton 1200 × 660 × 140 mm, 23 kg, inside most carrier size limits, which is the whole argument for selling this SKU online.
  • Wall options: 16 mm budget, 20 mm standard, 28 mm T&G premium; heights 150–900 mm.
  • Liner: 300 g geotextile (standard), 0.2 mm LDPE, or food-safe PEVA for herb and vegetable lines.
  • Brackets: 1.5 mm galvanised L-bracket, 2 mm powder-coated, or hidden dowel for a clean face.
  • Assembly: pre-drilled, countersunk, hex key included, illustrated manual in your language, 15 minutes.

Construction & materials

Materials, moisture and finish

We start from the failure point, the bottom rail sitting in wet soil. And add a 6 mm drainage gap under the base boards, a liner that stops short of the timber-to-ground contact, and a bracket that carries the soil load rather than the screws. On a 750 mm-deep bed the wall sees about 130 kg per linear metre of lateral pressure when saturated; that is a bracket and board-thickness decision, not a marketing claim.

FAQ

Objections we handle weekly

The answers below are the ones we give on the phone. Anything missing, ask on WhatsApp.

Is treated timber safe for food crops? What do I print on the box?

ACQ in class 3 with a liner barrier is the accepted industry construction for vegetable beds in the EU and US, and we recommend the PEVA liner for herb and root-vegetable lines. What we will not do is print an organic-input claim. Certification bodies disagree, so that is your call. Untreated larch or thermally modified pine is the clean-claim route at 8–15 % more FOB.

Will it arrive damaged through a courier network?

Packed as a parcel, not a de-palletised retail unit, it survives: one bed per carton, 40 mm foam at board ends, rigid sleeve for brackets, ISTA 3A drop test on the finished design. Damage claims on this SKU have run under 0.8 %.

Can I offer 900 mm depth for balcony or accessibility gardening?

Yes. Elevated beds at 750–900 mm are our fastest-growing size, driven by accessible gardening and balcony grow-food. At that depth we specify 28 mm T&G boards plus a mid-rail, and the FOB moves into a higher band.

What is the real MOQ if I want three sizes?

200 pcs per size, so a first order is 600 pcs. Below that we can supply from stock dimensions in two finishes; those carry no custom carton print or liner upgrade.
