Machines on the floor
Two CNC routers, a four-head moulder with a 31-profile knife library, a double-mitre saw, kiln chambers, a dip tank, a spray booth and a fibre/CO₂ laser, all under one roof. No outsourcing between your profile and your carton.
| Machine | Specification | What it lets us do for you |
|---|---|---|
| CNC router × 2 | 1300 × 2500 mm bed, 6 kW air-cooled spindle, ATC option | Cutting kits, engraved panels, arched trellis ends, nestings from your DXF |
| Moulder | 4-head, 60 m/min, knife library of 31 profiles | Frame and fence profiles 15–90 mm face; new profile in 7–10 days |
| Double mitre saw | CNC feed, ±0.1° accuracy, RF corner-weld option | Frame corners to ±0.5 mm and welded joints for export |
| Panel saw + optimiser | 3.2 m slide, offcut optimisation software | Wide boards to 600 mm, minimal waste, which is where the price comes from |
| Kiln chambers × 2 | 80 m³, programmable to 70 °C, moisture-mapped | 10–12 % for interior goods, 14–18 % before treatment |
| Dip / treatment | ACQ and stain dip line, brush end-sealer | EN 335 class 3/4 with retention records per charge |
| Spray booth + drying | Water-based and solvent-capable, 40 °C drying line | Three-coat finishes, Pantone matching, 3 colour changes/day |
| Laser engraving | Fibre 30 W + CO₂ 100 W | 0.1 mm detail on timber, bamboo, acrylic, powder-coated metal |
| UV digital printer | 6090 flatbed, white + varnish | Colour logos, photographs and variable data on giftware |
| Pad / screen print | 3-colour carousel | Packaging, sleeves, signage faces |
| Testing bench | Moisture meters, torque rig, cross-cut adhesion, drop-test bay | Documented evidence instead of adjectives |
Materials we keep in the supply pool
| Material | Form | Typical use | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chinese poplar (杨木) | KD boards, mouldings | Primed frames, light boxes | Cheap, stable, soft; not structural |
| Pine / radiata | KD boards, T&G | Frames, fences, beds, sheds | Our default garden timber with ACQ |
| Spruce (European, imported) | Boards, T&G | Fence panels, sheds, trellis | Comes via Lianyungang import pool |
| Siberian larch | Boards | Premium planters, untreated fencing | Natural durability; availability moves |
| Paulownia (桐木) | 3–6 mm panels | Keepsake boxes, linings | 280 kg/m³ — the freight-cheapest box timber |
| Rubberwood | Finger-joint boards | Boards, pet furniture | Value bulk option; needs edge sealing |
| Acacia | Laminated boards | Cutting and serving boards | Dense, dramatic grain; batch colour sorting |
| Bamboo laminate | 12–40 mm | Boards, screens, tableware | Moso 4–5 yr; not CITES-restricted |
| Birch / phenolic plywood | 9–18 mm | Crates, display, reusable cases | Poplar-core for one-way, hard-face for repeat |
| MDF / HDF | 2.5–25 mm | Ornate profiles, backs, display | TSCA Title VI / CARB P2 scope — certified per batch |
| Thermally modified pine | Boards | Chemical-free garden lines | Class 3, brittle: pre-drilled fixings |
| WPC / composite | Boards, slats | Modern screening, planter cladding | Not wood; separate HS logic, we flag it |
Tolerances, moisture and finish standards
Our house standard is ±0.5 mm on machined parts, ±1.0 mm on assembled frames up to 40 cm, and 10–12 % moisture for interior goods. Tighter tolerances are available and cost money. We will tell you by how much.
| Control point | House standard | Tight option | How we verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cut length / width | ±1.0 mm | ±0.5 mm on CNC | Caliper per batch, recorded |
| Frame squareness | ±1.0 mm diagonal ≤ 40 cm | ±0.4 mm gallery grade | Jig + photo in the inspection report |
| Flatness (frame) | ±0.5 mm | ±0.3 mm | Surface plate check |
| Moisture, interior | 10–12 % | 8–10 % for heated retail | Pin meter, 5 pcs per pallet, logged |
| Moisture, garden | 14–18 % pre-treatment | — | Logged before packing |
| Coating film | 60–90 µm | 2K lacquer 100–120 µm | Gauge per batch, cross-cut adhesion |
| Colour | ΔE ≤ 3 vs signed standard | ΔE ≤ 1.5 | Spectro check on every colour change |
| Screw torque | Spec per joint, 3× proof load | — | Torque rig, report per SKU |
| Drop / transit | ISTA 3A for parcel SKUs | 3B for palletised | Tested before design sign-off |
What we will not build
- Kitchen cabinets and vanities for the US. AD/CVD orders and a Section 232 duty make the economics hostile and the customs risk yours. We will quote components that are not in scope instead.
- Hardwood decorative plywood into the US. The China-wide AD/CVD rate around 187 % ends the conversation.
- Rosewood, ebony or agarwood goods. CITES Appendix II; no permit chain, no order.
- Structural members beyond our engineering competence. A 4 m clear-span arch in 70 mm posts is a sagging arch. We will offer a mid-post, a laminated section, or nothing.
- Claims we cannot evidence. 'Organic-safe treated beds', 'chew-proof', '20-year fence warranty', 'FSC 100 %' without the chain of custody. We will not print them, and we will tell you what we can print.
