All dimensions to customer drawing; tolerance ±1.0 mm on cut parts, ±2.0 mm on assembled flat-pack. Every offer is built from species, finish, packing and freight at the time of the quote — there is no published list price.

Food-contact compliance is the product, not an annex
Boards fail audits on three points: adhesive, finish and moisture. We use PRF or food-grade PU glue (melamine-urea avoided), refinery-grade mineral oil or carnauba, and we condition boards to 8–10 % before final sanding so they do not open a joint in a European winter.
- Migration testing: EU 1935/2004 + German LFGB overall and specific migration; US FDA 21 CFR for coatings, report per material, per finish.
- Bamboo sourcing: moso bamboo 4–5 years, no CITES issue, no TSCA scope for solid bamboo (but laminated board adhesives still matter).
- Grain direction: edge-grain for daily use, end-grain for knife-friendliness claims; we do not sell end-grain as 'butcher block' without the thickness to support it.
- Engraving: fibre laser (0.1 mm, no char halo), print, or UV digital for colour logo, proof photo before mass production.
- Packing: kraft mailer, sleeve with your barcode, or colour gift box with EVA insert for Q4 programmes.

Bamboo or acacia. Which do I list on my shelf?
Bamboo wins on price and sustainability story, and it machines beautifully for sets and trays; acacia wins on density, grain drama and end-grain credibility, and holds a premium. Most successful programmes carry both: one bamboo entry SKU, one acacia hero SKU, one gift bundle.
Do boards need TSCA Title VI?
Solid hardwood and laminated bamboo strips are not particleboard, MDF or HDF, so TSCA Title VI does not apply to them. It applies if a board is made from MDF or plywood, or a set includes composite parts — that is why we quote materials line by line rather than 'wood'.
Can you do a matched gift box with my branding?
Yes: EVA-insert colour box, kraft rigid box or sleeve-and-mailer, your barcode printed, and a first-article photo approval before production. MOQ for custom printed box is 1,000 sets, and the packaging upgrade is a small per-set adder quoted with your spec.
What kills margin on boards, and how do I avoid it?
Cube and breakage, not material. We quote thickness-to-carton optimisation (usually 10 % more pieces per carton with a 3 mm stack change), and we shrink-wrap and edge-card so transit rubbing does not create a finish claim. Ask for the CBM-per-1,000-pcs figure with your quote.
