Flat-Pack Raised Garden Beds
20 mm spruce bed, liner + brackets, one parcel-size carton, ISTA 3A tested, quoted per drawing.
Smaller, higher-margin, and the item that gets a cafe, a hotel and a boutique storefront to order 40 pieces at once. We make them with a floating base so soil weight does not split the ends.

Window boxes fail by rotting at the base corner where the liner folds, and by pulling their fixings out of a soft fascia. We cut the base as one floating panel with 8 mm perimeter clearance, use a one-piece LDPE liner welded at the folds, and publish a bracket load rating so your installer specification is defensible.
| Species / board | Where it wins | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Siberian larch | No-treatment premium, tight grain, retail darling | Knots vary; grading adds 6–9 % |
| ACQ pine | Cheapest durable option for DIY price points | Green cast. Sell as 'treated' honestly |
| Laminated bamboo | Modern, straight, no visible knots | Water-laminate edges need a good oil regime |
| Thermally modified ash | Black-brown designer look | Premium price; niche retail only |

Cafes, hotel storefronts, balcony brands and garden centres all order these in runs of 20–80.
Liner declared for vegetable and herb beds; PEVA free of phthalates.
Class 3/4 retention record, or chemical-free thermally modified pine.

We supply bracket load ratings in writing (a spec sheet, not a promise), liner material declarations, and treatment certificates. For hospitality projects we also supply a fire-retardant coating option with its test report where the venue requires it.
The answers below are the ones we give on the phone. Anything missing, ask on WhatsApp.
No: a welded one-piece LDPE liner plus 8 mm perimeter clearance contains soil and water; we still advise a drip tray SKU for stone and timber facades and we can supply one, powder-coated to match the box colour.
Yes, a 35 mm reservoir with an overflow weep hole and a wicking mat, sold as a hospitality SKU. It adds a modest per-piece cost and lets the trade sell a '4-week holiday' claim; the watering window depends on plant and aspect, and we say so on the insert.
200 pcs per size in a standard colour; Pantone-matched opaque finish at 500 pcs. Larch oiled lines can start at 100 pcs because the finish is a dip, not a spray-booth colour change.
Yes — 5 pcs nested per carton with kraft interleaves, which cuts cube roughly 30 % against single-box packing. We quote both: nested for trade, single gift box for online sellers who cannot re-box on arrival.
