All dimensions to customer drawing; tolerance ±1.0 mm on cut parts, ±2.0 mm on assembled flat-pack. Every offer is built from species, finish, packing and freight at the time of the quote — there is no published list price.

What separates a shelf-quality frame from a boutique one
Frame quality is decided by three things buyers rarely see on a quote: the moisture content of the moulding when it is mitred, whether the corner is glued-and-pinned or corner-keyed, and how many coats go on before the primer dries. Our standard build is 10–12 % moisture, radio-frequency welded corners on request, and three coats on a 40 °C drying line.
- Corner integrity: glue-block, pin, RF corner weld or metal corner key. We test to 25 kg drop on 5 pcs per batch.
- Flatness: ±0.5 mm across the diagonal on frames up to 40 cm; we shim the jig, not the order.
- Finish adhesion: cross-cut tape test (ASTM D3359 style) on every colour change, not just first article.
- Glass vs acrylic: 2 mm float with corner protectors, or 1.5 mm acrylic for export cartons — acrylic cuts breakage claims from ~2 % to under 0.3 %.
- Retail-ready: kraft or printed box, hang tag, EAN/UPC barcode sticker, wall-mount hardware fitted at assembly.

Can you match a frame I already sell, from a single sample?
Yes. Send the frame (or three corners of it) and we reverse-engineer the profile: we scan the profile on paper, cut a test length on our moulder, prime and paint to your colour, then ship a finished 8×10 for approval. Profile tooling for a new shape takes 7–10 days and is amortised into the first order above 5,000 pcs.
What is the real MOQ if I want five sizes?
500 pcs per design, but a design can carry mixed sizes. Our most common first order is 500 pcs split across 5R, 8×10, 11×14, A4 and 30×40 at 100 pcs each. Below that we can offer stock profiles with your backing and hardware.
Do you sell loose moulding, not just finished frames?
Yes. HS 4409 profiled lengths in pine, poplar and fir, 2400 or 3000 mm, raw, primed or stained, minimum 2,000 m per profile. Frame shops and makers in the UK and Australia buy this way; a 20'GP takes roughly 26,000 m of 30 mm profile.
Glass in the carton? Breakage risk on ocean freight?
We ship 2 mm float glass only into short-sea markets (Japan, Korea, intra-Asia). For transpacific and transatlantic orders we default to 1.5 mm acrylic with corner foam, and offer glass on a signed breakage-acceptance note. Either way frames are corner-carded and double-walled boxed at 40–60 pcs per carton.
