Garden Arch Arbor & Pergola Walk
2100 × 2400 mm ACQ arch with 90 × 90 posts, hidden haunch bracket, spikes or base plates — quoted per plan.
The volume shed. Same footprint as the big-box retail lines, but with a thicker floor frame, a wind-rated roof and hardware bags you can actually assemble from, the difference shows up in your review score, not the quote.

A shed is a wind uplift problem and a water entry problem. We specify strap ties at every rafter-to-wall junction, a door frame with a 10 mm rain rebate, bearers in class 4 treatment, and a roof overhang of at least 100 mm so water does not run down the wall face. Every one of those details is a line on the spec sheet, so you can compare us against the incumbent on paper.
| Species / board | Where it wins | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| ACQ spruce T&G | Retail standard, straight, cheap | Must be maintained after 2–3 years |
| untreated spruce + customer stain | For 'paint your own' retail offers | Zero protection at delivery, say so on pack |
| Larch 19 mm | Premium no-treatment shed | Knot-tight stock, 15–20 % material premium |
| Insulated panel wall (garden office) | 45 mm stud + 90 mm wool + liner | Structure, glazing and electrics are the buyer's local works |

DIY chains run these as seasonal programmes; online garden brands sell them as single-kit carton drops.
Strength-graded members with certificates; DoP drafted for EU/UK.
Applied where the kit is a construction product; we state per SKU in writing.
Rafter and purlin schedule tuned to your market's snow load.
Shrink-wrapped bundles, hardware bags, exploded diagram, container liner.
Where the kit is a construction product we supply EN 14081 grading certificates and a draft DoP for CE/UKCA routes; the notified-body or self-declaration decision sits with your importer, and we will state in writing which SKUs we consider in scope. Non-load-bearing arbours and pergolas generally are not. See EU/UK compliance.
The answers below are the ones we give on the phone. Anything missing, ask on WhatsApp.
We provide the FPC file, member grading certificates, treatment records and a DoP drafted against your declared characteristics. The conformity route (self-declaration vs notified body) is your importer's decision. We tell you per SKU whether we believe it is in scope, in writing, before you place the order.
About 22–26 kits of 8 × 6 ft (bundles at 320 kg each) before you hit weight, not cube — which is why we will always quote this category on a load plan rather than a per-unit price alone. Mixed sizes usually land 4 % cheaper per kit in freight than a single-size load.
Two people, 3.5–4.5 hours with a cordless driver; we include an exploded 1:10 drawing, numbered bundles and a hardware bag per stage. No screws are included loose in the bundle. They are bagged by stage, which is the single change that most reduces 'could not build it' returns.
We give a contractual 5-year warranty against rot in treated structural members when the maintenance schedule we supply is followed, plus a treatment retention certificate per charge. We do not warrant felt roofs against storm damage or colour fade, and your retail warranty terms should mirror that.
