Load, then shelf. Span and thickness are sized from a stated load — 8 kg per shelf on 18 mm pine at 60 cm, 12 kg on 20 mm rubberwood, and a sample is proof-loaded at three times that weight before the run is released.

Pine is the value option and takes a stain well; rubberwood is denser, machines cleaner and carries the higher load at the same thickness, which is why it owns the mid shelf. Where a buyer needs the lowest possible landed weight, or who ship by air into marketplace FBA, bamboo is the third answer and the lightest of the three.

For the US, plywood and MDF parts would fall under TSCA Title VI — our pine and rubberwood builds are out of scope, and we state that in writing so your broker is not guessing. Any unit over 120 cm ships with an anti-tip strap and a warning label.

What actually breaks in this category?
Three things, in order: assembly confusion, a shelf that sags under a wet pot, and a tip-over. All three are decided at the drawing stage. We respond with cam-lock joints, a load number that is tested rather than guessed, and a strap in the carton. If your marketplace has a compliance team, those three answers are what they ask for.
Can the stand be sold flat-packed and assembled by the customer?
That is the normal route and the only one that ships economically. The panels are lettered, the hardware is in a blister in build order, and the drawing is one page with the video QR on it. If you would rather ship assembled for a contract job, we can — it just costs cube, and we will show you both carton sizes.
Which finish should I lead with?
Natural oil, because it is the least likely to arrive looking different from the photo after a courier journey. Painted white is the second-best seller and the hardest to keep clean in transit. If you take it, add a foam wrap and expect a slightly higher carton cost.
