Artist Easel. Tripod & A-Frame Manufacturer. OEM & Wholesale from our Jiangsu factory

The other half of the picture-frame sale: whoever buys a canvas buys something to stand it on. Brazilian pine is the right species here, light, straight-grained and stable enough to hold a mast without a steel core.

Model TB-FR-420 · HS 4420.90 · Made in Jiangsu, China

A Brazilian-pine tripod easel and a folding A-frame table easel, 18 × 24 cm up to 50 cm, 200 pcs per carton. MOQ 200 pcs, knockdown or assembled, three-leg and four-leg formats, quoted per drawing with the mast height and the canvas-weight limit.

Why buyers pick this line

  • Weight is the design brief. A 50 cm easel in Brazilian pine is roughly half the weight of the same easel in rubberwood, which is what makes a 200-pcs carton ship at a sensible freight cost per unit.
  • Mast and tilt, specified. A 22 mm mast with a brass-effect wing nut holds a 4 kg canvas at 15°; the canvas ledge is adjustable in four positions and carries a ratchet-free friction lock.
  • Two formats, one jig. The tripod (studio) and the A-frame (table-top) share the leg and tray tooling, so you can mix sizes in one carton without paying for a second setup.
  • Sold with the frame. Our customers bundle an easel with a 30 × 40 cm frame and a 3 mm MDF canvas board as a starter set, one carton, one barcode, three times the basket.

Construction & materials

Materials, moisture and finish

Brazilian pine is the traditional easel timber for a reason: light, straight-grained and stable in a dry studio. Beech would be stronger and twice the freight. Where a buyer wants a darker studio look we stain the same species rather than switch to a heavier hardwood.

22 mm mast with wing-nut lock and the adjustable canvas ledge, four positions, friction-held
  • Raw: for paint-your-own and school supply
  • Clear lacquer: the retail default, wipe-clean
  • Walnut stain: studio look, sealer first so the grain does not blotch
  • Painted: water-based, RAL matched above 500 pcs
Application & compliance

How this ships and what paperwork comes with it

Easels sell to art-supply wholesalers, to schools and workshops, and increasingly as a bundle with a frame and a canvas board for beginners.

Panel complianceTSCA Title VI / CARB P2

Certificates per board batch; solid pine and poplar are out of scope and cheaper for the US market.

Timber legalityEUDR + Lacey

Species and harvest-country data supplied for the DDS and for the US PPBM declaration.

Finish safetyREACH / EN 71-3

Coatings tested; migration report available where the SKU could be judged child-adjacent.

PackagingISPM-15 pallets

Solid-wood pallets heat treated and marked; carton marks to your PO scheme.

This line is normally outside toy and furniture safety scope, but schools still ask: we supply a stability statement, an edge-radius declaration and the EN 71-3 migration report where a child-adjacent claim is made. Panel parts, where used, are TSCA Title VI certified for the US.

FAQ

Objections we handle weekly

The answers below are the ones we give on the phone. Anything missing, ask on WhatsApp.

Tripod or A-frame — which sells better?

Tripod in art-supply channels, A-frame in gift and stationery. The tripod is the studio product and carries the bigger canvas; the A-frame is the table-top impulse buy that bundles with a frame. Most customers take both and let the shelf decide.

How much canvas will it actually hold?

4 kg at 15° on the 30 and 40 cm, 6 kg on the 50 cm tripod, which covers a 60 × 80 cm stretched canvas. It is a friction lock on a 22 mm mast, so we state the number and test it, a wing nut that slips mid-session is the one-star review this category earns.

Why Brazilian pine rather than a hardwood?

Weight and freight. A 50 cm easel in Brazilian pine is about half the weight of the same design in rubberwood, and at 200 pcs per carton that difference is the whole freight calculation. It is soft, which is why we do not use it for load-bearing furniture. But an easel is not load-bearing.
