Fan Trellis for Climbing Roses
1.8 × 1.2 m fan trellis, six radiating slats, 40 mm stand-off, fixings and template included — quoted per drawing.
An obelisk lifts a climber off the ground so it dries, ripens and photographs well. It is also the support that sells two or three at a time, every spring, for as long as someone gardens, which is a better business than one panel per fence.

Treated pine is the right default: cheap, straight, and able to take a spike without splitting. Larch is the upgrade for buyers who want an untreated-looking product that still survives outside. Bamboo is for the indoor and small-space tier, where the obelisk is a styling object rather than a structural one.
| Species / board | Where it wins | Watch out for |
|---|

Obelisks sell to gardeners with a pot, a patio or a small border, and to garden centres that need an add-on next to the climbing plants. One header card and one pallet bin does the job.
Retention record per charge; untreated offered for indoor and food-growing, and labelled as such.
Ground spike, base plate or stakes quoted with the design; static pull test recorded.
Pre-drilled to stop splitting; no plain steel in anything that lives outside.
Species and harvest data supplied for the DDS and for a US PPBM declaration.
Treated lines carry the active substance, retention class and the EPA or EU registration reference on the label. Untreated lines are labelled as indoor or food-growing only, so nobody sells a bare pine obelisk as weatherproof. Species and harvest data go with the EUDR due-diligence pack on request.

The anchor, which is why we quote it with the design instead of leaving it to the customer. A 2.2 m obelisk carrying a mature clematis is a sail: it needs a base plate or two 400 mm stakes and a cross-brace, not a 300 mm spike. We test a static pull at the top with the specified anchor and tell you the number.
Because that is what a tendril can grip. Wider and the plant flops and the customer blames the product; tighter and you have built a fence panel, which is a different (and cheaper) category. It is also the detail that makes the photo look like a garden rather than a crate.
Knockdown, always, for export. A 2.2 m assembled tower costs more in freight than in timber. The bundle is 1.15 m, banded, with one hardware bag and an exploded drawing. Eight minutes with a screwdriver.
Yes. RAL or Pantone on the actual species, primer plus two exterior topcoats. Below 500 pcs we spray to the nearest RAL and send a panel; above that we match exactly and keep the formula on your job number.
